Sometimes I fancy myself as a writer or maybe more... A communicator. Although fancying yourself as anything doesn't mean you have the talent or aptitude for it. At this point I have not really tried writing. Sure I'm a preacher and teacher but that is not the same as writer.
Recently I have been reminded of a spiritual truth that has been part of my life by a good friend Pastor Jason Grant. I need to pour out to others so that I might be filled up. It seems like I pour out a lot. I have a family, after school program, youth group, congregation, and a couple small discipleship groups. But it still doesn't seem like enough. There is more in me and more that I want to get out. Will anyone care or even notice this little blog in cyberspace? Who knows. I just know that my "cup" is very full and I want to be filled up with more so I need to pour out some more.
So maybe I will use this new year to see if I have what it takes to write and specifically write about the things I love and find fascinating about life with God.
